HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Administers student discipline in accordance with administrative regulations, state administrative rules, and school district policy. 

Participates in the teacher evaluation process as assigned by the principal.

Assists the high school principal and other staff members in activities related to curriculum, instructional development, and other such areas as assigned by the principal.

Organizes and maintains attendance records, administers the school board attendance policy, submits monthly attendance reports to the superintendent, and completes all state attendance reports.

Conducts an orientation program for all students at the beginning of each school year.

Supervises student traffic in halls, study hall, and library.

Responsible for organizing lunch supervision of students.

Works with study hall teachers in assuring proper procedures for student passes and assigning students to either the honors or traditional study hall.

Advises senior class officers including the selection of graduation speaker, and the coordination of gowns, announcements, class motto, colors, and flowers for graduation.

Supervises the senior high school prom.

Assists principal with scheduling, planning and implementing awards programs.

Organizes and coordinates the annual inventory.

Orders and distributes supplies in the attendance office.

Supervises attendance office staff.

Responsible for arranging commons supervision prior to the start of each school day.

Performs other duties as assigned or delegated by the building principal or superintendent.
