Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced coach to lead our Boys Varsity Basketball program!

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader dedicated to developing young men not only as student-athletes, but also as well-rounded individuals. You will be responsible for all aspects of the program. This includes basketball game preparation, monitoring student-athletes progress in the classroom, and the development of younger student-athletes. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead practice sessions, focusing on skill development, offensive and defensive strategies, and game preparation.
• Develop and implement game strategy.
• Motivate and inspire players to achieve their full potential.
• Instill a sense of discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
• Maintain clear communication with players, parents, and school administration.
• Oversee all aspects of the program, practices, and team travel.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience coaching basketball at the high school level (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and rules
• Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with players, parents, and colleagues
• Commitment to fostering a positive and competitive team environment
• Develop a strong relationship with the coaching staff. 
• Must complete SDHSAA Coaching Requirements.
