Position Overview:

The Activities & Athletics Director at the Rapid City Catholic School System plays a vital role in fostering a well-rounded student experience by overseeing all extracurricular activities and athletic programs. This position ensures that all programs align with the mission of RCCSS, promoting faith-based values, personal growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The AD provides leadership and vision for a dynamic and competitive athletics program while also supporting student clubs and organizations. Responsibilities include program development, hiring and mentoring coaches, ensuring compliance with system, diocesan, and state policies, budget management, and cultivating a positive culture of excellence and integrity.

As a key member of the school leadership team, the AD collaborates with administrators, faculty, parents, and the broader community to create opportunities that inspire students to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically. The ideal candidate is a passionate and faith-driven leader committed to the formation of student-athletes and participants in extracurricular programs, ensuring that RCCSS continues to develop future leaders grounded in Catholic tradition.
