Job Description:

We are looking for a 5th grade math/science teacher.  
There are currently two 5th grade classrooms.  One 5th grade teaches Language Arts & Social Studies, the other teaches Math & Science.  In the middle of the day, they switch and teach the next group.  It is nice because you would be only teaching a couple of core subjects rather than all of them.  The curriculum we use is Eureka for Math and Discovery Science for Science.
Our hours are 7:40am-3:20pm.  We are projected to start on Aug. 19th.
Throughout the week your students would have 3 PE classes and 2 music classes to attend.  During some of those times, your co-teacher will have specials too, which give you a wonderful time to work/plan together if needed.
The incoming current class for next year will have a total of 25 students...13 students in one class and 12 in the other.
We use virtues as our behavior management and character building for the school.  We learn them every week along with the students.  Expectations are high here, so students tend to behave a bit better than their public school counterparts. 
Lastly, we have a high number of young staff to relate to, as well as some absolutely phenomenal mentors 🙂
