Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Guidance Counselor to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. The counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to promote student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and social needs.
Develop and implement programs that promote positive behavior and mental wellness.
Support students with conflict resolution, peer relationships, and social skills.
Work with teachers and parents to identify and support students facing challenges.
Conduct assessments to address student concerns and create intervention plans.
Coordinate with community resources for additional student support.
Ensure compliance with school policies and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
SD state certification/licensure as a School Counselor.
Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
