Job Description:

We invite you to be a part of our close-knit, dedicated team at Lead-Deadwood Middle School as an 8th Grade Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher!

Key Responsibilities:
Teach 8th-grade Language Arts and Social Studies, combining critical reading, writing, and analytical skills with historical and cultural exploration.

Foster a love for reading and writing through diverse literary genres, writing projects, and thought-provoking discussions.

Develop engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and active learning.

Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to provide a well-rounded and cohesive educational experience.

Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support each student's growth and success.

Build strong relationships with students, creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education.

Valid teaching certification in South Dakota (Middle School Endorsement).

Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Passion for fostering student growth both academically and socially.

Prior teaching experience (preferred but not required).
