Administrator Job Summary
The Administrator of Watertown Christian School is the chief executive officer responsible for the overall leadership, vision, and administration of the school. This role ensures that the institution upholds its Christian values while delivering high-quality education. The Administrator oversees academic programs, faculty and staff management, financial stewardship, student development, and community relations. The role requires a dynamic, faith-driven leader who is passionate about Christian education and committed to the spiritual and academic growth of students.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership:
Provide Christ-centered leadership that fosters a culture of faith and spiritual development among students, faculty, and staff.
Ensure that biblical principles and Christian values are integrated into all aspects of the
school’s curriculum, policies, and culture.
Lead by example in personal and professional spiritual growth, maintaining an active
relationship with Christ.
Academic and Administrative Leadership:
Develop and implement a strategic vision for academic excellence and continuous school Improvement.
Oversee curriculum development, ensuring alignment with biblical principles and educational best practices.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff to maintain a high standard of professionalism and spiritual integrity.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national educational standards, including accreditation requirements.
Oversee student admissions, discipline, and academic progress while fostering a nurturing and Christ-centered learning environment.
Financial and Operational Management:
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and stewardship of school resources in alignment with the school’s mission.
Work collaboratively with the school board to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
Supervise facility management, ensuring a safe and well-maintained campus.
Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities, donor relations, and grant writing to support school growth.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary representative of the school, fostering positive relationships with parents, churches, local businesses, and the broader community.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including faculty, parents, students, and the board, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
Develop partnerships with local churches and Christian organizations to strengthen the
school’s mission and outreach.
Board Relations:
Work closely with the school board, providing regular reports on school operations, achievements, and challenges.
Assist in policy development and implementation to support the school’s growth and long-term sustainability.
Execute board decisions and provide recommendations for school improvement.
Qualifications:
Spiritual Qualifications:
A strong and active relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating a commitment to biblical principles.
A passion for Christian education and the ability to integrate faith into all aspects of school leadership.
Agreement with the school’s statement of faith and ability to articulate its mission.
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
Master’s degree (or higher) in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
Experience in curriculum development, faculty leadership, and school operations.
Strong knowledge of educational regulations, accreditation processes, and best practices in Christian education.
Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to inspire, mentor, and build strong teams.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing school budgets.
Proficiency in conflict resolution and decision-making.
