  • Promote the mission of St. Thomas Catholic School and model the teaching of the Catholic Church to partner with parents in the integral formation and education of students within a community of faith and academic excellence

  • Support the growth and development of students in their faith

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instructional activities aligned with school curriculum maps that encourage active learning and student participation

  • Monitor and evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback on assignments, and maintain accurate records of grades and progress

  • Foster a welcoming and disciplined classroom environment while supporting students through pastoral care, encouragement, and mentorship

  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff regarding student progress and needs as well as attend parent-teacher conferences, school events, and departmental meetings to support the school community

  • Take responsibility for classroom resources and the school environment, including creating bulletin boards and managing supplies

  • Integrate relevant technology into teaching and stay up to date on new methods, resources, and developments in education to enhance instruction

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Reports to School Principal

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

  • Catholic in good standing with ability to be a spiritual leader of St. Thomas More Catholic School

  • State certification

  • Exhibit the core values of St. Thomas More Catholic School

  • Knowledge of relevant technology

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Self-motivated with high energy
