Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to provide support and assistance with students within our educational institution. As a paraprofessional, you will work closely with classroom teachers and other professionals to help implement education plans and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students. Your role will be crucial in helping students reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Assist with Education Plans:

1. Student Support and Instruction:

3. Communication and Collaboration:

4.      Discusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.

5.      Prepares lesson outline and plan in assigned area and submits outline to teacher for review.

6.      Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aids such as bibliographies, charts, and graphs.

7.      Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role playing.

8.      Prepares, administers, and grades examinations.

9.      Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.

10.  Confers with parents on progress of students

 
Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with individuals in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of educational practices, principles, and techniques.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment used by students.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift or support students with mobility needs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and other required screenings as per local regulations.
