Estelline School District is seeking a dedicated and reliable head custodian/maintenance person to oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and general upkeep of our school facilities. This key position ensures that our school environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. 
Responsibilities: 
●  Supervise and perform custodial and maintenance duties in school buildings and grounds. 
●  Ensure cleanliness and functionality of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. 
●  Handle minor repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. 
●  Coordinate repairs and other work with outside contractors. 
●  Monitor and maintain school equipment and supplies. 
●  Manage and train custodial staff. 
●  Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. 
●  Assist with set-up for school events and activities. 
Qualifications: 
●  High school diploma or equivalent. 
●  Knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, and materials. 
●  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
●  Motivated to work as part of a team as well as independently. 
●  Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks. 
●  Must pass a background check - if successful, reimbursed by the school district. 
●  Ability to perform job duties with a positive outlook. 
●  Preferred proven experience in custodial or maintenance work, preferably in a school or similar environment.
