Job Description:

The Dell Rapids School District is dedicated to fostering a strong wrestling program that prioritizes student-athlete success in the classroom and on the mat. We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Head Wrestling Coach to lead our established team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop assistant coaches and student-athletes in all aspects of the program, including practices, competitions, and team-building activities.
• Deliver individualized instruction to wrestlers, focusing on technique development and skill refinement.
• Motivate and inspire wrestlers to achieve their personal best, fostering a positive team environment.
• Assist with conditioning programs and weight room training (if applicable).
• Maintain accurate records and effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and administration.

Qualifications:

• Strong wrestling background with a competitive wrestling experience preferred.
• Coaching experience at a youth, high school, or collegiate level is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of wrestling techniques and training methodologies.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with and motivate athletes.
• Strong work ethic, dedication to teamwork, and a commitment to athlete safety.
• Must complete SDHSAA Coaching Requirements.
