Job Description:

The Dell Rapids School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Volleyball Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will support the middle school volleyball program and the head coach of the volleyball program in all aspects of the program and contribute to a positive and successful team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the fellow middle school coach in planning and implementing practices.
• Work with individual players to develop their skills.
• Help execute game strategies and make in-game adjustments.
• Manage equipment and facilities.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, the head volleyball coach, and activities director. 
• Promote sportsmanship and positive team culture.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
• Adhere to all school and district policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at the middle school or high school level. 
• Strong knowledge of volleyball rules and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaches and players.
• Commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check clearance
• Must complete SDHSAA coaches education requirements.
