QUALIFICATIONS:                                                         
Minimum of a high school diploma. Post-secondary education preferred.
Previous administrative experience, preferably in an education or special education setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
Proficiency in keyboarding and file maintenance
Ability to maintain accurate records
 
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for maintaining accurate records, assisting with communication, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations. Confidentiality is mandatory at all times.
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Maintain and organize student records, Individual Education Plans, and other confidential special education documents
Organized documentation to keep it up-to-date and in compliance with legal requirements.
Effective communication and correspondence
Act as a liaison between Lennox School District staff and parents, facilitating clear and timely communication.
Prepare and distribute paperwork to stakeholders that is in compliance with state regulations.
Organized and detailed scheduling and calendar management
Manage meetings for special education staff.
Complete accurate data entry and reporting
Enter accurate data; Indicators, Child Count, and other data systems
Generate reports and maintain data bases for tracking special education
Complete assigned IEP processes; i.e. Consents, Meeting Notices.
Meet compliance and regulation requirements
Stay informed about special education laws and regulations.
Assist in preparing documentation for state and federal reporting requirements.
Resource Management
Order and manage special education supplies, materials, and equipment.
Support Special Education Staff
Assist with classroom preparations and instructional material.
Demonstrate timeliness and good attendance.
Perform other duties assigned by the Principal, Director of Student Services, and/or Superintendent.
