Position Overview:
The K-12 School District Principal is responsible for providing instructional leadership,
managing school operations, and fostering a safe and productive learning environment
for students, teachers, and staff. The principal oversees curriculum implementation,
student discipline, staff supervision, and community engagement to ensure academic
excellence and student success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the school district.
● Supervise and evaluate instructional programs to ensure high-quality education
for all students.
● Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote student
achievement and well-being.
● Foster a positive school culture focused on respect, inclusivity, and academic
excellence.
● Mentor and evaluate teachers and staff, promoting professional growth and
effectiveness.
● Oversee student discipline, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of school
policies.
● Collaborate with district administrators, teachers, parents, and community
stakeholders.
● Manage resources and facilities to support academic and extracurricular
programs.
● Ensure compliance with state and federal education laws, policies, and
regulations.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and the community to
support student success.
● Implement and oversee school safety protocols, crisis management plans, and
emergency procedures.
● Promote and support extracurricular activities, athletics, and other student
engagement initiatives.
● Utilize data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and improve
instructional outcomes.
● Provide updates to the school board regarding state assessments and
Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
● Valid state administrative certification or licensure.
● Minimum of three years of experience in teaching and/or school administration.
● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and the community.
● Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment
methods.
● Commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and diverse learning
environment.
● Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
Working Conditions:
● Work is performed in a school and office setting with occasional travel for
meetings and professional development.
● May require evening and weekend hours for school events and district
responsibilities.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and district guidelines
● Base salary of $80,000. Salary could increase depending on experience and
qualifications, in accordance with the district salary schedule.
