Is the Northern Hills a great place to visit, especially Deadwood and Lead?  You should try living here!  The Lead-Deadwood School District is searching for a high school principal for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.  LDHS is located in Lead, SD, and has an enrollment of 200 students.  If you are interested in leading a great team, come check us out.  We are most proud of our sense of community and the boundless opportunities that we offer our students, opportunities that would rival those of much larger schools.  At LDHS, we consistently score above the state average in College and Career Readiness, and the school as a whole is on an upward trend in student achievement.  LDHS is accredited through COGNIA and the South Dakota DOE.  It’s a beautiful place to live with great recreational opportunities, great families, and great staff.  A Master’s Degree and current South Dakota admin certificate (or ability to obtain one) is required.  The starting date is July 1st (coming in as needed, reporting for full weekly schedule on August 11), with a 197-day contract.  Interviews: March 25th.

Starting salary is $85,000-$105,000, depending on experience.  Benefits include South Dakota Retirement and FULL FAMILY health plan.
