Job Description:

• Promote the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools and model the teaching of the Catholic Church

• Support the growth and development of students in their faith

• Organize and maintain an early childhood classroom environment, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming space for students

• Prepare and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with preschool curriculum using a positive and preventative approach to discipline, emphasizing redirection, encouragement, and fostering problem-solving skills

• Conduct parent-teacher conferences twice annually and maintain consistent communication with parents while maintaining confidentiality

• Supervise and provide direction to assistants assigned to the Preschool program to enhance student learning and engagement

• Supervise children during all school activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment

• Maintain acuate student attendance and cumulative records, ensure lesson plans are accessible for substitutes, and perform other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in early childhood or equivalent preferred

• Previous child care and/or early childhood teaching experience desired

• Catholic in good standing with ability to be a spiritual leader of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools

• Exhibit the core values of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools:  Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity

• Knowledge of relevant technology

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Good problem solving and decision-making skills
