REPORTS TO:
Principal, Activities Director

REQUIREMENTS           
Education: BA/BS Education (preferred)

Experience Desired: Head Coaching or HS Coordinator and teaching experience desired

Physical: Hand-eye/ mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity

Other: Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries college theory course in sports coaching. High school/college participation is preferred. Teaching assignments in the building are preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Supervision/ development/ continual improvement of West Central Football 7-12. 
Assign/evaluate assistant coaches’ roles and responsibilities (delegate). 
Complete all necessary paperwork. 
Supervises athletes in locker room/ weight room/ when traveling. 
Care and prevention of injuries/ taping. 
Care/ maintenance/ requisition equipment. 
Awards/ PR-speaking engagements etc. 
Personal improvement, clinics, etc. 
Plan practice/ scouting/ game prep. 
Actively recruit student-athletes (in our school). 
Work with administration/ staff (certified & uncertified). 
Off-season program. 
Develop and implement a character education program with students in the program. 

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work both inside and outside. Possibly subjected to extremes of cold below 32 degrees and heat above 100 degrees. Occasionally subjected to extreme noise, odors, mists, dust, and poor ventilation.

A post-offer criminal background check is required.
