What Makes You a Good Fit?

• Two years post high school education or higher or able to pass a standardized test approved by the State of South Dakota.

• One to three years of sustained employment

• This position requires constant hand-eye, mind-eye coordination, hearing; intermittent grasping, keyboarding, speaking, and writing. Frequent filing, sitting, standing and walking are also required. The ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and the ability to drive a car are also required. Regular contact with students with emotional and conduct related disorders.

• Regular, reliable attendance. Experience with behavior management. Ability to use a computer for word processing and data entry. Ability to maintain confidential information. Frequent exposure to physical and verbal abuse. Due to the nature of a behavior program and of the students assigned, required the ability to work in a stressful environment.

What Makes SFSD a Good Fit?

• Compensation: Starting at $19.85 per hour - This position earns the Education Assistant differential pay. Each position that qualifies for the Education Assistant differential pay earns an additional $2 per hour (included in the rate listed above).
