REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associates Degree in Computers or a similar field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Certifications Desired: ITIL 4 Foundations Certification
JAMF Certified Associate
Experience Desired: One year in similar position. Three years preferred.
Physical: Constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination. Frequent walking, keyboarding, speaking, writing, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, reaching, stooping, and turning. Other: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Enjoys working with kids. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills while working with frequent interruptions. Computer proficiency in multiple computer platforms, especially in MacOS and iOS. Ability to keep information confidential. Adhere to the District’s Policies and Procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Operational Duties:
Manages the day-to-day operations of the technology help desk.
Provides project direction to summer technology staff, IT consultants, and vendors.
Liaisons with value-added resellers for the procurement of goods and services. Processes any warranty repairs and replacements. Complies with service level agreements.
Strives to help promote the safety, health, and comfort of all students within the school district.
Technical Support Duties:
User support: Serves as the help desk point of contact. Provides technology assistance and training for students and staff.
Incident Management: Logs, records, and resolves incidents quickly.
Problem Management: Detects the underlying causes of incidents and documents the best resolutions.
IT Asset Management: Installs OS, policies, and application software packages on devices. Maintains database of technical assets. Performs check-out and check-in of technology assets. Aids in re-acquiring lost or stolen assets.
Service Catalogue Management: Utilizes JAMF Pro to assign software licenses to macOS and iOS devices. Utilizes JAMF Pro to manage the application of updates and patches to software packages.
Other Technical Duties:
Works in conjunction with the State of South Dakota to provide Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Office 365 suite, email, and distribution list services. Provides Google Suite and Single Sign-On services for the district.
Monitors Ruckus WIFI and Brocade switch infrastructure.
Monitors Lightspeedsystems Relay content filter.
Assists with audio enhancement A/V equipment and Epson projectors.
Assists in the programming of the Mitel phone system.
Performs data entry and generates reports from Infinite Campus (SIS) and JAMF Pro (MDM) databases.
Promotes a positive image of the West Central School District.
Performs other duties as assigned.
