Job Overview:
Sanborn Central School District is currently accepting applications for a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging classroom environment where young learners can develop foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and other core subjects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district and state standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those requiring additional support or enrichment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes to parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance the educational experience.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices to enhance learning.
• Promote the social and emotional development of students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in the state of South Dakota.
• Prior experience teaching at the elementary level is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of state and district curriculum standards for elementary education.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
• Experience with classroom management techniques that promote student engagement.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
