Due to retirement, this rare opportunity invites a visionary leader to continue to guide our faith-filled, innovative, and inclusive school into the future. As part of the Bishop O†Gorman Catholic School system, St. Lambert Elementary serves a culturally diverse community of preschool through 6 grade students. This position is supported by an administrative team of eight Principals, Vice President for Educational Services, and a business office.

Job Description:
Provide faith-filled leadership by promoting the mission of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools, modeling Catholic teachings, fostering a culture of authentic Catholic education, and collaborating with the pastorate, staff, and school administrators to support spiritual and educational growth
Provide leadership in hiring, professional development, curriculum integration, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with Catholic values, policies, and the diverse needs of faculty and students
Ensure the efficient operation of the school by maintaining safety and discipline, upholding high academic standards, overseeing facilities and records management, and complying with all policies and reporting requirements
Foster strong communication and partnerships with parents, parish, and community stakeholders through regular updates, meetings, and collaboration, ensuring awareness of student needs, curriculum, and school policies
Collaborate with the School and Family Organization to plan events, provide updates, and support fundraising initiatives to enhance school operations and community engagement
Collaborate on developing the school budget, promote the mission of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools through marketing and development, ensure human resources processes are followed with integrity, and support the President, Board, and Cabinet in their roles
Primarily daytime hours with occasional evening and weekend involvement
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Experience in teaching and/or school administration is required with preference given to experience at the elementary level
Catholic in good standing with the ability to be the spiritual leader of a Bishop O†Gorman Catholic School
South Dakota principal certification or ability to obtain
Catholic school experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work with Google/Microsoft platforms and various software applications required of this position.
