Job Description:

Interpret oral communications into sign language and signed
communications into spoken English in the special education early
childhood classroom.

Facilitate communication among students who are deaf or hard of
hearing, the classroom teacher and other personnel in the school
district

Provide direct tutorial assistance in areas of academic support

Assist in communication throughout the school day as stated in the
Individual Education Plan (IEP)

Perform other duties as assigned

Monday – Thursday, 3 hours per day (8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)

Rate of pay $27.00 per hour (must be registered and certified in the
state of South Dakota)
