Job Description:
Coyote Club Afterschool and Summer program staff make a meaningful impact in the lives of
school-age children. They are dedicated individuals with a passion for working with young learners as
part of a team responsible for facilitating activities and fostering conditions that inspire growth and
learning for all students.
The first priority for all staff is to ensure student physical safety, ensuring an environment where
students are protected from any form of bodily harm from their surroundings, adults, their peers, or
themselves. The second priority is to provide an emotionally secure atmosphere where every student
feels valued, included and welcomed. Beyond these two aspects of safety, the third priority for
TRSSC's out-of-school programming is to create a space to promote academic enrichment and
personal development.
Requirements/Preferences:
Program staff classifications include: certified, non-certified over 18, non-certified under 18
● Teaching degree preferred
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● High School students with childcare/early learning experience will be considered
● Preference given to individuals with experience or background in education or childcare and/or
passion for working with school-age children.
Responsibilities:
● Implement activities as requested by the site coordinator
● Develop activities as identified or requested by the site coordinator
● Monitor students and implement appropriate behavior management strategies
● Maintain a positive attitude and age-appropriate interactions with students
● Be a positive role model, assisting and guiding students in making positive life choices
● Flexibility and willingness to be a team player, assisting students and other staff
● Attend staff meeting
● Participate in training events
● Complete other duties as assigned including daily set-up and cleaning, assisting with
after-hour events (family nights, etc)
● Other duties assigned by the Site Coordinator, Assistant Site Coordinator and Project Director
