QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Anatomy, Physiology, or closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the discipline required.
Extensive knowledge and/or experience as a Community Health Worker and previous work experience in health science-related fields preferred.
Strong classroom management skills with prior teaching experience a plus.
Ability to utilize technology to enhance instruction both on campus and online.
Excellent people skills, an affinity for working with young adults and coworkers in a team environment.
Bilingual a plus.
National Career Readiness Certificate level Silver or higher a plus.
REPORTS TO: Dean of Academics, Vice President
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Classroom, online, and hybrid instruction of courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and other related science courses as assigned.
Online instruction of Community Health Worker (CHW) coursework.
Curriculum development of all assigned classes using innovative technology wherever possible.
Alignment of the course outcomes for Anatomy and Physiology with the South Dakota Board of Regents to guarantee transferability.
Advise CHW students regarding academic progress, registration, and other student services.
Maintain and expand industry relationships; host CHW Advisory Board meetings.
Assist with student recruitment/campus-wide events/public relations for the CHW department and LATC.
Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and assist in their professional development.
Assist with accreditation and assessment; maintain all related documentation.
Provide a positive role model for students.
Work in partnership with the other faculty members to maintain an effective teaching team.

Salary Range -$53,000.00 - $74,000.00 / Per Year
Shift Type -Full-Time
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
190-day contract. The compensation set by the Watertown School Board in accordance with the state postsecondary technical instructor salary formula.
