Location:
  Buz Potter Support Services Center - Warehouse

Position Start Date:
  As soon as possible

Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00am to 11:30am, not to exceed 19 hours per week.  Hours can be negotiated.

Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old.

Clearances:
Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, paid for by the applicant.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Current Electric forklift operation/care certificate or passing of District provided training course
Hand truck/2 wheeler safe operation and care certificate
Valid South Dakota Drivers License
  
Experience Desired:
Warehouse/print-shop operation
Basic computer operation

Other Requirements:
Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and good interpersonal and positive human relations skills. Ability to work alone and be self-motivated.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders to heights of 6 feet. Walk stairs unaided in a multilevel facility. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.  Must be able to read and understand labels and schedules. Requires working in all conditions which may contain dust, moisture, snow, cold and heat.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: 
Maintains the warehouse and print shop in a clean and orderly condition for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment and work space
Receives, picks up, sorts and distributes district mail/packages to multiple sites/locations.  Receives, stocks, and delivers needed district supplies to multiple sites/locations 
Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns  for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and maintaining a functioning educational environment. (e.g. facility damage, unauthorized persons, alarms, etc.)
Secures facilities as assigned  for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and/or potential liability.  (e.g. locks doors, turns off lights, etc.) 
This position will help with printing and sorting of districts print shop
This position will deliver printed materials to sites/locations 
Perform other duties as assigned daily by the Director of Operational Services or designee.
